The Women’s Studies Institute of China (WSIC) launched an official account on the popular Chinese mobile messaging and microblog service WeChat on International Women’s Day, which falls annually on March 8, as a gift for all people focusing on women and gender studies.

The “Gender Study Horizons” account, or “Xingbie Yanjiu Shijie” in Chinese, will be regularly updated on Thursdays, bringing its followers the latest on women’s news and research achievements; allowing users to exchange views; and, hoping to make contributions to women’s development and gender equality.
