Chongqing Women's Federation (CWF) held a symposium for over 50 female owners of private enterprises on August 2, in an effort to publicize the benefits of female-led businesses in the city.

During the conference, CWF officials and business leaders exchanged opinions on corporate development.

The private economy reportedly generated a value of nearly 500 billion yuan in the first half year, contributing to over 50 percent of Chongqing's GDP.

To unite and serve female entrepreneurs and encourage women in the city to develop private companies, CWF has launched multiple initiatives and recently set up two exchange platforms.

It also vowed to provide financial assistance and policy support to women starting up new businesses.

Meanwhile, CWF is set to roll out new policies to lead women to dedicate themselves to the development of private economy of Chongqing, according to a spokesperson.
