A partnership agreement between the Women’s Studies Institute of China (WSIC) and the Institute of Population and Labor Economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (IPLE-CASS) was officially signed by Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF) and Director of the WSIC Tan Lin and Party Secretary of the IPLE Zhang Juwei in the China Women Activity Center, Beijing, on October 20, 2014.
At the conference, Tan Lin shared her personal experiences on how to integrate gender perspective into demography. She hoped researchers in both institutes will apply gender analysis to their research so as to make great contributions to the study of women’s economics in China.
Party Secretary Zhang Juwei believed that the cooperation between the WSIC and IPLE will bring broader development space for both sides, adding that he has full confidence in their cooperation.
Based on the data of the Third Survey on Chinese Women’s Social Status and relative data resources from the CASS, participants discussed high-level talents, women's labor participation, the elderly, marriage and family, and a preliminary research scheme was also formulated as well.
