Abstract:
Everyone wants a happy and harmonious family. But violence features in one third of marriages. Since the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995, the term "domestic violence" has been widely heard in China, and control and oppression within families, especially the violence that husbands inflict on their wives, has entered the public spotlight. Theoretical studies and practical interventions in the past 15 years appear to have achieved progress, but problems still exist and need to be solved.
