During the 90-year history of the Chinese Communist Party, its focus on the Chinese Women's Movement has given rise to several unique characteristics. First of all was the formation of the Marxist women's theory with Chinese characteristics through combining Marxist views on women to the reality of revolution and construction in China. Secondly, the women's liberation movement made great strides during this process through an alignment of women's movement and the Chinese Communist Party's central tasks during different periods. Thirdly, gender equality was being increasingly advocated, thus further securing the legitimate rights and interests of women.
