It comprehensively reviews the effect of policies and their deficiencies. It has particularly analyzed policies involving gender discrimination, blindness, neutrality and social gender sensitivity. Based on the investigation, the author illustrates how these policies have hindered the development of gender equality, and puts forward suggestions on carrying out policies conductive to the development of gender equality.
