The National Working Committee on Children and Women under the State Council recently published a book titled, 'Implementation of the Basic State Policy of Gender Equality'.
The book is divided into six chapters, explaining China's measures to carry out the basic State policy of gender equality, with a view to guiding government sectors and officials at different levels to carry out their duties and effectively implement the basic national policy.
In the first chapter, the authors introduce the importance of adhering to the basic State policy of gender equality, as well as its new tasks and requirements in the new era.
From chapter II to chapter V, the authors use a series of cases to explain the principles and practical approaches in the implementation of the basic State policy in terms of laws, policies, planning and work deployment.
In the last chapter, the authors explain the great significance of creating a better social and cultural environment to implement the basic State policy of equality between men and women.
Therefore, the book provides a good reference for readers to better understand the basic State policy of gender equality in China.
