The 2006-2007 Annual Report on Gender Equality and Women's Development in China is the second Green Book on Women compiled by the Women Studies Institute of China.
The report comprehensively analyses the relationships among women's development, gender equality and social justice. It details positive changes in Chinese women's development between 2006 and 2007. It also includes in-depth research and analyses of issues such as migrant women workers, unemployed and left-behind women and children, and senior and disabled women.
The report also explores, from a social gender perspective, pragmatic improvements to related laws and policies. It moreover sets out, in the interests of greater accomplishments in women's progress, rights protection and gender equality, the results of assessments of women's development and gender equality in the fields of health, education, economy, political participation, the family, and the environmental domain.
