gender impact of university graduates’ class background on their employment based on an analysis of the data collected in the survey on "class background and graduates’ employment status attainment" in 2007.From the embedded structural perspective, the study recognizes that both class background and gender have a significant impact on the occupational status of university graduates, though gender impacts differ between upper-class and lower-class backgrounds. Graduates of advantaged class back-ground find it easier to obtain desirable occupational status. Women graduates from high powered class enjoy good opportunities in major labor markets. However, women graduates from disadvantaged class background suffer from discrimination both based on their gender as women and on their underdog class background.
