Title: Gender Perspective of Rural Women's Participation in the Village Governance Analysis---Using Henan Province, as an Example

Summary: Along with democracy of the Chinese countryside with the rise of degree at the grassroots level, rural women in village governance participation level was improved, and showing the characteristics of diversity. Taking Henan Province, as an example, the study is based on the background of social transformation in China, in reference to social gender perspective and rural women's participatation in gender jointly created social roles and power structure. In comparative analysis of different groups of women's participation in village governance status, it can be found that the gender ratio imbalance in the village official authority, the proportion of women in the Party Branch, and the Village Committee is low. The non-management elite in village politics increasingly becomes an important group, but the number of women in this group is limited. As rural women's subjects, ordinary women's political rights are easily neglected or randomly represented by males.
