Main content: The objective of the project is to enhance the decision-making ability of women officials, to raise suggestions for their equal role in decision-making and the reform of current mechanisms and to create a favorable environment for women decision makers. The final report completed in 2003, Studies on Women's Political Participation in China's Economic Transformation, received recognition from both China's Ministry of Civil Affairs and the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM).
