1.Project Objectives
The successful practice of villager autonomy in the 1990s has provided a new platform and opportunity for harmonious development of gender equality in China. However, it has also brought some issues in the process of development. How to solve these problems is the main purpose of this project.
2.Project Process
--Carrying out a survey for a general overview of villager autonomy across the country, especially regarding gender equality problems in the election of the seventh villagers' committee in Jilin Province in 2007, laying a good foundation for the completion of the project.
--A series of papers have been published based on the relevant surveys.
3.Achievements
--Four papers have been published in provincial-level journals.
4.Significance and Influence
This project provides a theoretical support for the improvement of grassroots democratic politics construction, harmonious development of gender equality and a socialist harmonious society in rural areas of China. |
