Title: International Association for Feminist Economics Calls for Papers

IAFFE (International Association for Feminist Economics)organizes one conference a year and organizes and conducts sessions during the ASSA conference as well.  These conferences are designed to provide an open forum for the exchange of ideas and the dissemination of research relevant to feminist inquiry of economic issues.

2011 annual IAFFE conference will be held in Zhejiang Gongshang University, Hangzhou, China on June 24-26, 2011

Theme: Reorienting economic theory, policies, and institutions: Feminist perspectives in the aftermath of the global economic crisis.

Call for papers

The Deadline for Submitting Papers/Abstracts has been extended to April 1, 2011!  Notification of Conference Paper Acceptance Begins March 15, 2011. Paper/Abstract Submissions are through ConferenceMaker (If you can not submit your paper, please contact the conference secretary Jolene Walker). 

The conference committee will decide if the papers/abstracts are accepted early April.

Pre-Conference Workshop

Feminist Economics Conference Training Activity

Are you new to Feminist Economics? Would you like to learn more? You and your colleagues have an opportunity to participate in a workshop introducing you to Feminist Economic analysis.

The IAFFE Pre-Conference in 2011 will be in Zhejiang Gongshang University, Hangzhou, China. The Pre-Conference is designed for scholars and students new to feminist economics but is open to all those who are interested. You can register for the PreConference at the same time as you register for the IAFFE annual conference.

The Program consists of senior feminist economists who present an overview of IAFFE and an introduction to their fields. They also answer questions from participants. There will be opportunities for networking and mentoring.

There are numerous services available that will assist US passport holders with the process of obtaining a visa for China. If you are planning on attending the 2011 IAFFE Annual Conference in Hangzhou, China, you will want to begin the process of obtaining a visa as soon as possible!
