Abstract:
This three-part book is a compilation of reports and papers on the outcomes of each phase in the international cooperation project, "Studies and Promotion of Women's Labor Rights and Interests," undertaken by the Center for Women's Development Rights at Northwestern Polytechnic University.

The first part consists of studies and reports on specific issues, such as legislation and foreign and domestic policy texts, from a gender perspective; surveys on women's employment; and analyses of employment discrimination from an economic perspective, including mechanisms safeguarding women's labor rights and interests.

The second part focuses on expert dialogues and discussions on labor rights under globalization, labor rights and obligations, and methods of applying gender perspectives. It also examines collective labor rights and trade unions in transition, fertility and women's labor rights and the specialized protection they need, and the labor rights of domestic workers as a group.

The third part presents case studies.

Its main emphasis on law science, the book touches on other disciplines such as economics, sociology and economics of law and, proceeding on the premise of comprehensive interdisciplinary law science, tries through jurisprudence, constitution, labor law, international law and other relevant laws as the point of entry to approach the issues of labor employment rights and gender through analyses of texts, case studies and their mode of survey.
