The feminization of the main players of mahjong in the countryside is a social phenomenon emerging from the transformation period in rural society. We can only find its causes from the changes in its social environment. The feminization of the main players of mahjong in the countryside is a fact, which, however, does not reflect the richness of cultural life for rural women. On the contrary, it is related to the weakening of the economic, cultural and political status of rural women.
