This study found that the main impact of WTO accession is not about changes in labor supply, but about changes of the structure of labor demand, impact of labor-intensity and the flexibility of labor-market. After joining the WTO, the young, better educated women will benefit, but women as a whole will be subject to frequent impact of economic restructuring in the labor market and will become more vulnerable.
